Moore Pavilion
Moore Pavilion, named for Marion 'Bud" Moore, long time Lamar Free Fair supporter and Chairman, is an example of community and government working hand in hand to achieve great things.
Located in Downtown Lamar, Moore Pavilion is an 138 by 196 foot open air building available to be used for civic events. In the winter of 2022 a new ceiling and upgraded LED lighting was added. When not in use for the Farmer's Market or the Lamar Free Fair Animal exhibit, it is utilized as free covered parking for the downtown area.
The Moore Pavilion can be reserved for events. Contact the Lamar Parks and Recreation office at 417-682-5851 or visit our Civic Rec online calendar to reserve.
Moore Pavilion has been used for Barton County Electric Annual Meeting, Lamar Bank and Trust Customer Appreciation Days, Barton County Community Foundation Annual Gala, church events, car shows, auctions, garage sales and more.
