As a reminder, if seeking shelter during storms in the event of a tornado where warning sirens are set off, Lamar has two (2) storm shelters.
The basement of Memorial Hall is shelter for people, service dogs, dogs and cats (inside cages only). This shelter is operated by the Fire Department.

The Lamar Middle School is shelter during non-school hours for people & service dogs only. NO PETS. Operated by the Lamar Police Department. A police car will be sitting outside the door.
